Gov. Tom Wolf visited West Scranton on Friday to tout $2.5 million in state funds for a physical therapist to begin an envisioned “medical corridor” in the neighborhood.
The Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP) money was awarded to Scranton to support the project by Frank Cawley. The $5.5 million project in the 1100 block of South Main Avenue calls for a 15,000-square-foot physical therapy and rehabilitation center on the ground floor, with the second floor marketed to the bioscience industry.
